The aims of the daily exercise period are to maintain muscle strength, maintain joint flexibility, provide a gentle cardiopulmonary workout and provide a pleasurable experience and a sense of competence in being able to follow along with the group and move freely. (Doing Things, Jitka M. Zgola)

Do not forget to include some movement exercises in your activity program. The sense of movement is the sensation of our body moving in space, such as when swinging or rocking, and the feeling of our limbs moving in relation to the rest of our body. Lack of movement leads to muscle wasting and joint stiffness and the immobile person may actually lose touch with his or her body. Movement and attention to the sensation of movement should be part of any complete activity program. We offer you parachutes, ribbons, scarves and balls for successful movement activities.
